Meet the Artists Behind PB & J
Pfred, Barbara & Jack
I’m Barbara Pezze, and I’m proud to share this creative journey with my husband, Jack, and our spirited pup, Pfred. After a life full of travel and adventure, nothing brings me more joy than creating together in our shared studio — blending pencil, wire, and a whole lot of heart.
Through colored pencil drawings and expressive wire sculptures, we bring art to life in two dimensions — capturing the spirit and soul of every subject we meet.
I am a colored pencil artist living in a suburb of Austin, Texas. I specialize in pets and wildlife portraits, but I also do human portraits and botanicals. I began drawing in 2022 during the pandemic with charcoal pencils. I later joined Bonny Snowdon’s Ignite Academy - an online learning platform for those interested in learning the fundamentals and advanced skills and techniques in colored pencil drawings. I currently offer a limited number of customized portraits as well as prints, cards, calendars, etc. of the drawings in my portfolio. I would love to work with you to preserve your beloved family pet or a favorite wildlife or human portrait. Please see my availability and pricing in the links below.
Hello, I’m Barbara!
And I’m Jack.
Sculpting has become a big part of my life. I have always appreciated the beautiful artistic works of people around the world but what about the beauty which surrounds us every day? Natural beauty and the feelings one gets from experiencing art is what has inspired artists from the beginning of humankind. I have been able to take some of the beauty which surrounds us and translate it to my own sculpting and drawing.
I experience almost a “spiritual lifting” when inspiration takes hold and I must create what is in my mind. My sculptures are physical representations of who I am. They’re stories about me and the life choices I’ve made through my journey here. I will never truly understand why I must sculpt, but I must.
I was born in the midwest and began my love of art at a young age. I was exposed to fine art as a youngster. I was moved even then by the beauty of it.
